How we use your information (privacy notice)

Who we are: GN Wellsprings Care Services Ltd is the data controller for the information on this form ().

Why we need it: to assess your application, check your right to work in the UK, take up references and, if you are offered a post, carry out the pre-employment checks a CQC-registered care provider must complete (Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, Regulation 19 and Schedule 3).

Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract of employment, and our legal obligations as an employer and a registered care provider.

Who sees it: only the managers involved in recruitment. It is stored in our secure staff system and our Microsoft SharePoint. We contact your referees only if you allow it or you are offered a post.

How long we keep it: if you are not successful, your application and CV are destroyed six months after the decision. If you are appointed, they become part of your staff file.

Your rights: you can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it, by contacting us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).
